Welcome to The Congregational Church of Austin, UCC!
If you are looking for a small, friendly church where everyone will quickly know your name...where you'll be loved and accepted regardless of your age, class, race, ethnicity or sexual orientation...where you'll be challenged to reflect on your beliefs, acknowledge your doubts, ask your questions and grow in your faith...where God's desire for compassion, healing, reconciliation, and justice is preached...where you're given the opportunity to put your faith into action through effective volunteer and outreach ministries...then we hope to get to know you as a new friend. No matter who you are or where you are in your journey, you are welcome here.
We are affiliated with the United Church of Christ (UCC), a liberal Christian denomination that promotes spirituality, peace, justice, education and freedom throughout the world. Here you will find a faith community where members accept and encourage spiritual seeking, diversity and fellowship. Serving our immediate community is a large part of our faith, members participate in the local food pantry sponsored by Micah 6, share the responsibility for a freeze night shelter housed in our basement and share space with LifeWorks community outreach program. Join us for worship every Sunday at 11 am and Adult Sunday School at 10 am. Click for directions.

Return of the Friendship Suppers
These dinners are wonderful opportunities for our members and friends to get to know each other in smaller groups. There are three dates set when diners, each contributing part of the meal will meet in the home of a host. You are not obligated to host and may come to one or all three of the dinners as you choose. The sign-up sheets are in the teal folder in the fellowship hall. If you have any questions, speak to Barbara Burnham, Betty Bodman or Andria Miner Lippert. We hope you'll come share good food and conversation with us.
COFFEE HOUR
Please sign up in the Fellowship Room to be coffee hour hosts on an upcoming Sunday. The coffee hour time is such a good opportunity to visit old friends and meet visitors. We keep coffee and ginger ale and some punch fixings in the pantry in the kitchen. There are usually paper napkins, and we use coffee mugs and punch cups to avoid wasting natural resources. Your menu can be as simple or complicated as you want. Cookies and/or chips and salsa are just fine! If you have questions, talk to Pat Oakes, Tommie Pinkard, or Lynne Lemley.
