In our worship we acknowledge God as the source and center of our lives, and we seek to place all else in our lives in proper relation to God. We combine joyful and spirit-filled singing with moments of quiet reflection and prayer. We share the joys and concerns of our lives, read and reflect on scripture, and respond to God' call to minister to the world with compassion. On the first Sunday of every month, we celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion. We are open, friendly and welcoming to all who seek to know God in Christ through worship, fellowship and ministry. Please join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 11:00 am.

May 4, Holy Communion
     Psalm 67
     Matthew 6: 5-8
Psalm 67 calls on people to praise God so God's blessing will be upon them. In Matthew's Gospel, Jesus tells people not to pray like hypocrites so everyone can see and hear them, but rather to pray in private where only God can see and hear them.

May 11, Pentecost Sunday, Jack Harris-Bonham preaching
     Acts 2: 1-21
In Acts of the Apostles, we read the events of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit descends like flames and a mighty wind upon those gathered in Jerusalem from many lands. Peter claims this is a fulfillment of the prophet Joel's prophecy that God's spirit will be poured out on all people.

May 18, Christian Education Sunday
     I Corinthians 12: 12-20
     Matthew 7: 24-27
In Paul's letter to the Corinthians, Paul likens the church to a body in which every member has an important role. In Matthew's Gospel, Jesus concludes the Sermon on the Mount by saying all who hear his words and practice them will be like a person who builds a house on a rock that can withstand mighty storms, while all who don't practice them will be like a person who builds a house on sand that a storm easily sweeps away.

May 25
     Psalm 131
     Matthew 6: 24-34
Psalm 131 gives thanks for the peace and contentment one finds in God's presence. In Matthew's Gospel, Jesus warns that people cannot serve both God and money, and says not to worry about what we eat, drink, or wear, but seek first the Kingdom of God and our needs will be met.
